He wasn’t sure where all this emotion was coming from. None of this was news. None of this was even upsetting anymore. He had spent his entire life as the odd man out. The only Beta in his class, the only Beta in his family, the only Beta trainee at BigHit. It was just the way the world worked and he’d spent his life not knowing anything else.
He didn’t know why, all of a sudden, the disconnect, the loneliness, was suffocating him. He was luckier than most, even luckier than a lot of Alphas and Omegas.
